As an BMW E39 owner and fanatic, I've spent a lot of time looking at these cars and seen many examples. One kind I will never tire of is the timeless and classic look of a clean factory looking E39 M5.
This example comes from a detail done by a friend and owner of Quick Quality Detailing in Georgetown, Texas. I agreed to capture a few shots of the result of hours of polishing and shining a beautiful Carbon Black 2003 model. The owner of this M5 retained its stock Style 65 wheels and treated it to a mild lowering of the ride height providing it a subtle but perfect stance.
What ensued were a few shots taken against a warm afternoon sun. This one shot in particular captures the essence of what fans find perhaps the best bit about the design: the aggressive yet understated front fascia. One of BMW's finest hour in contemporary automotive design? I think so.
